The message “Warning visiting this site may harm your computer” can either come from your antivirus app. or from your browser (Chrome, Firefox, …).. To know whether your Firefox, IE. Chrome has been hijacked or not by some virus is easy to tell. If you ever see a software program being pitched or a recommendation to a product then the message is false and you should not trust it. For exact examples or to learn how to solve this check out this Warning! Visiting This Site May Harm Your Computer!.
If you do some online Google search and notice some advertisement under the search box asking you to buy some protection program: this is but a scam. Another example would be a good website you do happen to visit on a daily basis. Then you do see the message but you already knows this is a good site: you should consider there is a virus on your computer. To delete this kind of viruses is not always easy. Another place to go to learn more about similar threats is this Spyware Removal site.
Once again, getting such warning on every site you do visit is a good way to know your computer is rather infected. To solve this problem: try to reset your IE (or Firefox, or Chrome, …), sometimes it works. It will eventually clean the threat, but not for everyone. No matter what, you should deep-scan your system with a good security program.
Your computer has a deep infection (with more than just bad program on it) if nothing has really changed after that. Try to read a lot about the fake antivirus program you are told to buy, this will help you to understand it. Search for this program (just write it down somewhere) on one of the websites I did mentioned above. You will find some guides about how to delete the program found on your system.
